ClaySquad.com Community Code of Conduct
Last Updated: June 2026
Welcome to ClaySquad.com. Our mission is to safely connect the global sporting clays community and help enthusiasts find squads to shoot with. To ensure a safe, respectful, and transparent environment, all users must adhere to this Code of Conduct.
1. Respecting User-Coordinated Squad Environments
Our community thrives on diverse, user-driven shooting groups.
- Users have the right to post Squad Requests indicating specific attendance affinity preferences, including all-female or all-male squads, to ensure comfort and camaraderie on the course.
- Respect Affinity Preferences: The platform does not block access to gender-specific squads, but it displays a prominent warning when your profile does not match the creator's stated preference. Ignoring this warning and joining or replying to a squad in bad faith — or using it to harass or disrupt the creator's affinity group — is a direct violation of this Code. The squad creator has the right to decline your join request and flag the interaction for moderator review.
2. Public Communication & Anonymity Rules
To keep our community safe from trolls and bad actors, we utilize a digital "spotlight effect"—all coordination must happen out in the open.
- Do Not Share or Solicit Private Info: To protect your personal safety, do not share sensitive personal information (such as your phone number, email address, home address, or details of your firearm collection) in public Squad Requests or replies.
- No Contact Harvesting: You are strictly forbidden from demanding or asking other users for their phone numbers or private contact details as a requirement to join a squad. Keep all coordination within the platform's public replies until you meet safely at the venue.
3. Use the Platform as Intended (No Commerce)
- Squads are Always Free: ClaySquad is about camaraderie, not commerce. No user may offer, solicit, or demand money, tips, or paid entry fees to create or join a squad invitation.
- No Commercial Activity: Do not use Squad Requests or replies to advertise, sell, or solicit goods, commercial services, or firearms.
4. Venue & Firearms Safety Compliance
- Absolute Compliance with Club Rules: ClaySquad does not govern physical courses. When meeting people via the platform, you are a guest of the host club. You must strictly know and abide by all local, state, and club-specific firearm handling, safety, and administrative rules at all times.
- Real-World Interaction Safety: Review and acknowledge the persistent safety warnings displayed on our request and reply forms. Meet new squads in public club zones (like the pro shop) first.
5. Enforcement & Report Abuse
- Decisions on moderation are at the sole discretion of the ClaySquad.com administrators and can result in formal warnings, content removal, or temporary/permanent write suspensions.
- Anti-Report Abuse: The content reporting system is a tool for safety. Filing false, malicious, or abusive reports to intentionally trigger our automated content suspension system against another shooter is a severe violation and will result in an immediate account ban.
